Tokyo Gate Bridge
東京灣上的恐龍橋


The Bridge was completed in February 2012 at a cost of 1 Billion Yen. It is 2,618m in
length and goes across East Tokyo Passage on Tokyo Port Seaside Road.
這座橋完工於2012年2月,耗資一億日元,長度2,618米,是連結東京江東區若洲
與中央防波堤外側海埔新生地的海上橋。


This bridge has unique shape due to the height restriction needed as it is close to
Haneda Airport. Sufficient maximum-bridge-deck height is also required to
ensure the safety of vessels navigating the main channel of Tokyo Port. Because
of this, the Bridge employs “truss structure” instead of taking the form of a
suspended or cable-stayed bridge that requires a high bridge tower, thereby
ensuring its safety and durability to allow for traffic that amounts to approximately
320,000 vehicles a day.
這座橋的外型在設計時因為鄰近成田機場必須有高度的考量,但橋墩的高度也
因船舶需要通過,也需要考量到東京港主航道的船隻安全。正因為如此,恐龍
橋使用桁架結構,而不是採用混凝土或是斜張橋,確保橋樑的安全性以及耐用
度,每天最高能夠乘載320,000輛車輛。


It significantly Reduces transit time for vehicles on the rise, such as those carrying
containers; by streamlining the traffic to and from Tokyo Port. With these
improvements made to its port facilities it serves to strengthen Tokyos global
competitiveness.
恐龍橋的建造,明顯改善了東京港的交通問題,例如貨物寄送或是人要往返兩
地等等。這座橋也提升了東京港在全球的競爭力。
