The Three Gorges Dam is the world's largest hydropower project.
三峽大壩是世界上最大的水利工程。

Built on the Yangtze River in China, its construction began in 1994 and it will be fully
operational this year. It is expected to produce as much as 22.5 gigawatts (GW) of power.
In August 2009, the plant produced 18.3 GW, more than any other power plant in the
world. The Three Gorges Dam is still under construction.
位於中國長江，於1994年開始動工並全力投入生產工作，預計將能產生22.5
億瓦的功率（GW）。2009年8月，該廠生產的18.3萬千瓦，超過世界上任何
一間發電廠，三峽大壩目前仍然在持續建造中。
